By Peshawa Ahmad Mahmoud - One year ago I was a senior at AUIS getting ready for my finals, finishing my research paper on the status of business under the Kurdistan Region Government, pondering about my life after graduation, and thinking that hopefully our graduation ceremony will be grand enough to make my parents proud and see the fruit of all the investment and trust they had in me.

I was afraid that I would not be able to keep my promise, but as soon as I saw my article published on the website, I started writing The Arranged.

Significant Changes over Five Years

My English understanding was limited then, and I could hardly understand the questions Mr. Hubley asked me.

Women2Women- A Life Changing Conference!

By Saz Aso Jaefar - A Life Changing Conference. I have been writing this sentence over and over again because I cannot find a suitable alternative to describe the experience. My mom has worked for women for 24 years, and she has always told me to “never give up on the thing that you can't go a day without thinking about.” My mum used to tell me that because she knew I was interested in knowing women’s issues around the world.

As I write this, a storm of feelings fill my heart, of happiness and sadness.AUIS is where I was introduced to the world. You may “hmm” disagreeing or nod agreeing, but we can all agree that AUIS left something deep inside everyone’s heart. To me, it left one word: challenge!
